Call for Muralists: Archibald Yell Boulevard RFP

The City of Fayetteville is seeking to secure the services of one or two outdoor muralists to create one or both of two (2) original, site-specific murals on the concrete retaining wall that runs on the north side of Archibald Yell Blvd. between Rock St. and S. Block Ave.

The murals are part of an improvement project aimed at making Archibald Yell Blvd. a safe, walkable and enjoyable space for the citizens and visitors of Fayetteville.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, January 07, 2022 before 2:00 PM

INTERFORM Fashion Week Call for Designers

A select group of designers will be granted the opportunity for runway presentation during the INTERFORM Fashion Week Spring Shows, March 10-12, 2022. Eligibility for show grants is limited to designers based in Arkansas and designers originally from Arkansas, along with designers from outside the region who show significant talent and a well-established brand. Applicants who pursue creativity, diversity, and inclusion will be given preference. Designer applications are due by January 3, 2022.

INTERFORM is also hosting dancer auditions on January 9 at 4 PM and model auditions on January 9 from 1-6 PM at 214 S Main St. in downtown Springdale. No applications are required.

Lastly, INTERFORM is searching for hair and makeup artists to participate in Spring 2022 NWA Fashion Week. Applications are due by January 14, 2022. Apply here.

Fenix Arts

Call for LGBTQ+ Artists

Fenix Arts is a nonprofit collective gallery in Northwest Arkansas whose mission is to provide a platform for under-served artist communities. They believe that all people deserve dignity and respect, and a connection to community and resources.

Fenix Arts is inviting LGBTQ+ artists from the Mid-South area to submit their artwork to a juried exhibition to be held in the Fenix Gallery and the 214 Gallery in neighboring Springdale in June/July 2022. They will also be hosting several LGBTQ+ performance events throughout the 2-month exhibition. The focus of this exhibition is to give voice to this often under-represented community to share their stories and dreams. Deadline for entries is on March 15, 2022.

The Fenix Gallery, located on Mt. Sequoyah in Fayetteville, is open Thursday and Friday from 1 PM – 5 PM and on Saturday from noon – 6 PM.

Call for A Cappella Singers

The annual VoiceJam A Cappella Festival, produced by Walton Arts Center, brings together the best a cappella groups from across the country along with local students interested in learning more about a cappella.

As part of the festival, the VoiceJam A Capella Festival Competition will take place on April 9, 2022 and bring together top high school, collegiate and community vocal bands from around the country to fine-tune their skills with up to 8 groups selected to compete in a live competition.

Interested in competing? Video auditions are open now and will be accepted through January.
