For over 30 years, Best Friends Animal Society has been running the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals and building effective programs that reduce the number of animals entering shelters.

Located on seven acres in Bentonville, AR, Compton Gardens has lively woodlands, native plants, and impressive greenery. These spirited gardens are perfect for both small and large gatherings. The gardens are home to five champion trees as designated by the State of Arkansas Forestry Commission. The beloved species include an American Chinese Chestnut Hybrid, Bitternut, Black Willow, Pagoda Dogwood, and American Yellowwood.
A mountain biker’s paradise completed in 2020 with over 17 miles of progressive trails for all skill levels— just a five minute bike ride from downtown Bentonville. The area is gaining a name for itself in the cycling world as a rich natural oasis and urban escape for mountain bikers and trail lovers alike.
Orchards Park is located across from the entrance of the renowned Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Orchards Park was designed as a premier passive park with walking paths, beautiful landscaped areas, a pavilion, water feature and amphitheater.
40 plus miles of single-track flow alongside the paved Razorback Regional Greenway and by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, where the path is dotted with public art. The Slaughter Pen system includes trails ranging in difficulty from beginners (on the All-American and Seed Tick Shuffle trails) to expert (on Scott Allen Alley and Medusa trails), with connector trails taking riders between the various hubs of the system. As an IMBA Silver Level Ride Center, it’s truly a trail system with something for everyone.
The Lawrence Plaza Splash Pad is a 7,000 square foot facility. This innovative space utilizes a dual-function design to operate throughout the entire year. In the winter months, from November to January, the chiller is turned on and the concrete pad is converted into the region’s only permanent outdoor ice rink.
