Amazeum YOU

“No assignments. No tests. No grades. Just playful exploration. And sharing.” This is how the Scott Family Amazeum (which just celebrated 5 years!) describes Amazeum YOU, the online portal which is stocked with video demonstrations by the Amazeum staff on everything from ice balloons to scribble machines to confetti poppers. In addition to the digital learning archive, the Amazeum “fungineers” live stream demonstrations each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at 10am on Facebook.

Let's Play Bikes NWA

BikeNWA believes that learning to ride a bike in a positive, safe and fun environment is key to becoming a happy and healthy life-long rider. To that end, they launched Let’s Play BikesNWA, a free three-part guide to help parents to facilitate learning in a simple, fun and low-stress way. Activities require only a small space and utilize everyday objects to enhance the learning experience.

These guides feature tips for parents and guardians as well as games and activities designed to help children discover the joy of riding a bike. Each progressive level helps to build confidence and skills your rider while giving you, the parent, tips and ideas for stress-free learning and fun. These guides are adapted from school curriculum written for families to experience together and enjoy.

The Crystal Bridges team assembled and distributed 12,000 kits to the community

My Museum Kit

When classes, camps, and creative outlets were canceled to help stop the spread of coronavirus, the Education and Community Engagement departments at Crystal Bridges sprung into action to develop a project that would bring art to children in underserved communities around Northwest Arkansas.

The result was the My Museum Kit, a physical art kit that offers lessons, projects, and supplies inspired by artworks in the Crystal Bridges collection. The Museum Kits are now available for purchase online. Additionally, when you buy a kit, your purchase provides another free kit to a child in our community. You may also make a donation without receiving a kit to further support bringing creativity to youth in Northwest Arkansas.

My Museum Kits are best suited for grades K-5, but offer fun for the whole family!

Learn about the evolution of the kit, its community impact and how to purchase below.
