Written and directed by Neil LaBute, House of Darkness, starring actors Justin Long and Kate Bosworth, was filmed at locations in and around Fayetteville. The film is a reimagining of Dracula with plenty of Gothic vibes supplied by the Dromborg Castle.

What Happens Later
A new romantic comedy based on the play “Shooting Star” by American playwright Steven Dietz, starring Meg Ryan and David Duchovny, is in production in Northwest Arkansas with filming primarily taking place at the Northwest Arkansas National Airport. This is Ryan’s second directorial outing following 2015’s Ithaca.
Storyline by Variety:
The movie follows ex-lovers Willa (Ryan) and Bill (Duchovny) who are reunited for the first time since their split decades prior when they both find themselves snowed in, in-transit, at an airport overnight. Willa is still the wilful, independent spirit she once was, free of any ties, while the recently separated Bill is reassessing his life and his relationships with his estranged wife and daughter. All each of them wants is to get home but over the course of the night they find themselves at first reluctantly drawn together yet compelled to revisit their past, along with what could have been and what might well be again. But when the versions of their shared history don’t quite add up, where do they go from there?
The movie is expected to be a 2023 theatrical release.

Written and directed by Reggie Keyohara III and Mauro Borrell, Mindcage, is an upcoming American thriller film starring Martin Lawrence, Melissa Roxburgh and John Malkovich. In the vein of Silence of the Lambs and Se7en, Mindcage was filmed at locations in Springdale and Fayetteville last summer and is currently in post-production.

Mindcage is reported to be a gripping thriller that sees detectives Jake Doyle (Lawrence) and Mary Kelly, played by actress Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest), investigating a slew of murders. When it’s discovered that these killings aren’t random, but copycat murders of an infamous serial killer, Jake and Mary determine the best course of action to get a step ahead is to peer into the mind of the original killer known as The Artist (Malkovich). Enlisting his help in prison, Mary attempts to tap into the twisted psyche of Malkovich’s Artist as she and Jake are dragged into these two killers’ diabolical game.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is expected to begin streaming and debut in theaters as a limited release this December.
