NWA Business Women's Conference & Special Projects
Headed into its 22nd year, the NWA BWC is the premier women’s conference in the region. Known for its outstanding keynote speakers and networking opportunities, more than 1,500 of Northwest Arkansas’ most accomplished women attend the conference each year to grow professionally and personally, enjoy dynamic programming, and make lasting connections with other women.
This new role is a director-level position that will take ownership and agency over a successful regional event and continue to evolve it’s value to attendees, sponsors and other stakeholders. In addition, the position will be responsible for helping direct special projects. It’s for someone who has a passion for community and business and empowerment of new and emerging leaders.

Leveraging regional resources to juxtapose speakers on the forefront of tech trends against a backdrop of rugged yet refined Ozark beauty, Northwest Arkansas Tech Summit is a magnet for top talent across the country; serving as an experiential marketing vehicle for our region to tell its story, showcase its amenities and economic opportunities while elevating and evolving the perception of Northwest Arkansas globally.
Having grown an incredible amount over the last decade, the Summit had a record-breaking 1,600 registered attendees this year. The executive director of the NWA Tech Summit (NWATS) will have the opportunity and responsibility to continue the evolution of this experiential talent attraction product.

The mission of the Heartland Summit is to showcase the exciting innovation happening between the coasts, spark frank conversations about the challenges the region is facing, and build networks to sustain economic growth and power problem solving across the country. The Heartland Summit is designed to kick-start economic growth and social innovation by strengthening connections between some of our nation’s best thinkers, problem solvers, and investors.
The Heartland Summit is the flagship convening of Heartland Forward, a think and do tank located in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The Heartland Forward board of directors is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial visionary to join the Heartland Summit team as the executive director. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to lead a collaborative team, responsibly manage resources, build and maintain critical stakeholder and community networks and drive creative engagement.
