Neal's Cafe
The oldest family-owned restaurant in Northwest Arkansas was named to the 2022 Arkansas Heritage Arkansas Food Hall of Fame. Established in 1944, Neal’s Cafe is known for its southern-style, home-cooking from scratch—notable favorites include the country breakfast, fried chicken, apple salad and homemade pies. A committee of Arkansas historians, chefs, foodies and food authors chose the winners from 15 finalists, winnowed down from 2,000 submissions from all 75 Arkansas counties.
Two other restaurants in Northwest Arkansas have earned Hall of Fame induction: Monte Ne Inn in Rogers (2021) and The Venesian Inn in Tontitown (2018).
