Did you know that Northwest Arkansas has 566 miles of soft-surface trails for hiking, biking, and exploring nature? In total, there are nearly 800 miles of hard- and soft-surface trails to explore! NWA Find Food Map

The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank recently launched the Find Food Map, revolutionizing how people access food assistance across the region. Whether community members are looking for a nearby food pantry, meal program, or other support services, this map makes it simple for residents to find exactly what they need, when they need it. Options include curbside pickup/drive-through, grocery/client choice, online market and more.

Axios AI and Innovation Maps

Lastly, we didn’t want to leave out two recent headlines and the corresponding maps published by Axios that caught our eye:

  1. America’s New Innovation Hotspots” found that Northwest Arkansas, Louisville and New Orleans are emerging as America’s new innovation hotspots by looking at the change in the number of utility patents granted over time per 100,000 residents. Northwest Arkansas had 24.9 patents granted for every 100,000 residents in 2022, up from 10.2 in 2012 — a 144.1% increase, per U.S. Patent and Trademark Office data.
  2. Mapped: NWA Potential Hotspot for AI Jobs” found that Northwest Arkansas is among the country’s AI job hot spots. Northwest Arkansas had 24.7 new AI jobs listed per 100,000 residents, ranking just behind Austin (39.9) and Washington, D.C. (35.3), and ahead of Raleigh, North Carolina (19.7) and Atlanta (19).
