The Northwest Arkansas Council’s Life Works Here initiative seeks to capture the attention and interest of talent from all over the country looking for a better quality of life.

Welcome to Northwest Arkansas

Northwest Arkansas has one of the most affordable costs of living in the nation, plentiful outdoor lifestyle perks, nationally ranked arts, culture and cuisine scenes, and per capita income that is 14% higher than the national average. In the region, people have shorter commutes, a close-knit and inclusive community, a rich arts and culture scene, and the time to enjoy all the outdoors has to offer.

Life Works Here Incentive Background

The initial Life Works Here incentive launched in November 2020, offering remote tech talent the opportunity to relocate to the region for $10,000 and a mountain or road bike.

This effort, which was sparked by the remote work trend and national relocation patterns, was overwhelmingly successful and generated more than 66,000 applicants from around the world who were drawn to the region as a great place to live, work and play.

What’s Next?

While the application process for the talent incentive has ended, the need for talent in the region continues. The Northwest Arkansas Council remains focused on promoting thoughtful regional growth and the recruitment of top talent for employers and emerging industries throughout Northwest Arkansas.
