Open Position: Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications for Public Relations at Alice Walton School of Medicine

Founded in 2021, the Alice Walton School of Medicine (AWSOM) will offer a medical degree-granting program that builds on conventional medicine with an inclusive, compassionate, and whole health approach. The School of Medicine embraces self-care to empower students to care for their patients and themselves and helps them rise to the health challenges of the 21st century with a focus on mental, physical, social, and emotional health. The School will have an attached clinic for training in these concepts. Recently, the School of Medicine secured preliminary accreditation status by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, its program accrediting body. Reaching this historic milestone allows AWSOM to begin recruiting students to its new campus in Bentonville.

AWSOM is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications for Public Relations. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications for Public Relations is responsible for earned media strategy and execution for AWSOM for the 20-state Heartland region and oversees the School’s editorial calendar. This role is a critical part of the Marketing and Communications team as an experienced storyteller and media connection as AWSOM shares its unique story.
