A movie filmed in Fayetteville will be released in theaters and streaming services this month.

The film, called House of Darkness, stars actors Justin Long and Kate Bosworth, and was filmed at locations in and around Fayetteville in the spring of 2021.

From IMDB:

Justin Long and Kate Bosworth star in this seductive thriller from director Neil LaBute (The Wicker Man). Driving home to her secluded estate after meeting at a local bar, a player out to score thinks his beautiful, mysterious date will be another casual hook-up. While getting acquainted, their flirtation turns playful, sexy and sinister. Hoping to get lucky, his luck may have just run out.

Locals reported to have seen Long and Bosworth around the downtown area last spring, including at locations like Ozark Natural Foods, Hugo’s, Puritan, and on the UA campus.

Long posted a few photos of recognizable landmarks in Fayetteville on Instagram as well at the time, including one on the Fayetteville square next to one of Jason Jones’ gnome paintings near the visitors center. In the comments of the post, Bosworth says she took the photo.
