Many Voices Lead to Haxton Road Studios

W

What comes to mind if you close your eyes and think about the sound of your childhood? The jingle from an ordinary commercial, a Saturday morning cartoon, a familiar voice or a cliche song? They are all possible answers, but the reason that song sticks out in your mind is a combination of how it was produced, where it was shared, and the repetition with which you heard it: notes on a page converted into a deep memory.

Haxton Road Studios in downtown Bentonville is central to capturing and creating great stories through song. From dirt road to downtown in the heart of the city, Haxton Road Studios offers a full-service recording studio ecosystem.

Neil Greenhaw, music producer and cultural creative, is an extraordinary musician, but where he excels is seeing talent in others: whether a freshman artist or building the team that helps him serve producers and artists. After college, he spent some time in the Nashville music industry. And, when that season of his life was over, the Harrison native decided Northwest Arkansas was the place to settle his family and embed in the community.

When Greenhaw returned, many of his friends knew his background in music and looked to him for direction in recording and producing music. So that’s how Haxton began: as an in-home studio down a dirt road near the Bentonville Airport. But it quickly became apparent that there was a void for a highly professional, full-service musical production studio.

Haxton purchased a lot two blocks from Bentonville Square in 2015, and two years later the studio moved from the dirt road to the center of the community. Even then, the Haxton team still dreamed about how the whole complex could come together.

Set apart to serve

Today, the Haxton District is the ultimate partner behind a musical ecosystem where art and business collide. Working with a professional recording studio offers excellent benefits. Haxton’s holistic approach to recording serves its clients best. Clients who work with this team of professional musicians and producers get the business and creatives simultaneously.

We are looking for people with great songs who want to work hard and collaborate toward the very best product (song) possible.”

Another thing that sets Haxton apart is their recording equipment and studio spaces.

The district’s seven rooms range from a lobby that converts to recording space and a live recording room doubling as an event space to production rooms, a VIP lounge, an isolated output recording space and a vocal acoustics room. One of the main differentiating factors for Haxton clients is the access to gear for reservation. Microphones dating back to the 1940s give a unique, vintage sound. They also have a Steinway baby grand piano, vintage guitars, modern mixers, converters, amps and consoles.

Their musical clients also love having access to multiple contributors in the creative process. All good artist sessions start with a great song, and the partnership with Haxton offers the artist access to numerous professionals who help form and shape a final product. Commercial clients like working with the Haxton team because they can access all the team members. Front to end, they are working with people who hear the pitch and produce the jingle. Fortune 100 companies and main street brick-and-mortar small business owners both take advantage of working with Haxton.

A fun client list

The reputation of clients often tells the most extraordinary story of how you work, and Haxton has a list you might recognize:

If you want to work with the Haxton Roads team, do not miss the chance to stay in the expanded Haxton District Townhouses, ideal properties where clients can walk to the studio and have easy access to downtown Bentonville shopping and restaurants. The on-site luxury townhouses transport you to an urban experience at The London, The Nashville, or The Brooklyn. A walk-up neighborhood near the Bentonville Square and nearby amenities.
